Seized 97 after an oil pan gasket change, HELP!
Well I've been meaning to replace my oil pan gasket for months now, so I finally got around to pulling the motor. I pulled it last friday and put it on the stand and flipped the motor over. I cleaned the block and pan, threw some new paint on the outside of the pan and left it over night. The next day I did the gasket using that grey stuff, and let it sit over night. Then sunday I flipped the motor back over and put back in. Night by night I've been plugging away after work piecing it back together. Well tonight I was gonna torque up the flexplate and I couldn't turn the flywheel, I put a ratchet on the crank pulley up front and nothing. WHAT DID I DO? Im thinking I got oil in the cylinders and they are full and seizing the crank? Or did I F**K it leaving it upside down 2-3 days? I'm used DZLJIMS guide off his site as a reference but he mentioned nothing about flipping the motor. Anyone else ever have this issue, or have any ideas on what I did? You guys always help me out so here I am again humbled for help please, and thanks alot!!

Flipping the motor upside down is the right way to do it. Like Rick said, pull the glow plugs and you should be able to spin it by hand. Just remember whatever fluid is in there will come shooting out.
After you've turned it over by hand a few times, but before you stick the glow plugs back in, disable the engine and turn it over with the starter a few times. That will blow any excess fluid out of the cylinders before you seal it back up.

Most likely oil , pull the GP's . Logically nothing else unless you dropped some tools in the c case ...

Just unplug the CPS, or pull the IDM relay, or the PCM fuse (fuel bowl heater). Any of those will work. You want the engine to spin over, just not start.
