1966 F100 Wheel Options (original drums)

Will wheels from a 2008 mustang GT fit a 1966 F100?

I think the answer is no. The Mustang wheel mounting surface is way outboard from the centerline of the wheel. This means when installed, the tire tucks into the wheel well and the inside of the tire would contact frame/suspension components when turning. Your truck probably has a 5 lug mounting with a 5.5" bolt circle. Most likely the car wheel will have a 4.5" bolt circle, but I am not familiar with newer Mustangs. The other thing to watch for is the diameter of your front hub wheel bearing casting. Just to make sure the center hole in the wheel is as large as your hub.

No Mustang (edit: in fact no passenger car) wheel, regardless of what year it is, will fit any truck, as its bolt circle pattern isn't even close.

Before switching to metric wheels, most Mustangs came with 5 lug 14" wheels on a 4.50" bolt circle. Some of the 1965/67's came with 13" 4 lug wheels on a 4.25" bolt circle.

1953/79 and most 1980/83 F100's came with 5 lug wheels on a 5.50" bolt circle. 15 wheels were standard, 1961/79's could be ordered with 16" wheels and 17" wheels were available for 1961/66's...same bolt pattern.

Ford introduced 5 lug, 5.50" styled steel and styled aluminum wheels for F100/150's, E100/150's in 1977, 1978 for Bronco's. Any of these myriad types of styled wheels used thru 1996 will bolt right on your F100.
