Convert long wheel base to short wheel base?

Generally you'd also have to shorten the driveshaft(s) or get a new one. Rear brake lines shortened or replaced. Emergency brake cables swapped out for shorter ones. Electrical wires running to taillights would have to be shortened or rolled up some to take up the slack.
Just some thoughts.
Wheelbase is 14" shorter.
129" - 115"
Overall length is 20" shorter, assuming F100 Styleside.
207.6" - 187.6"
Not counting rear bumper in this case.

It's been done, and more than once
The difference in the actual box length is not all between the back of cab & axle centerline, the measurement from the back of the box to the axle centerline is also different.
I would try to get someone with a SWB model to come by (or go see them, and study both trucks carefully. Take some measurements, make some notes, take LOTS of pics, then make a plan
and for further study, here are LWB & SWB frame drawings.....

Dan - Vic had posted this picture of one that was in his area around Spokane. 4x4, of course. Looks like a fun little rig. Stock SWB in this case. You need one of these, I think.
