Engine repair advice
My 1995 F250xl has a 350Cleveland which has one cylinder missing, shop tells me there's a burned valve, and cracked exhaust manifold. Should I try to repair the burned valve? I plan to put a band aid on the exhaust manifold, rather than replacing?
OR SHOULD I SAVE MY BUCKS AND REPLACE THE MOTOR???

351 W. APOLOGIES. 105,000 miles on motor, converted from CNG to EFI. It rides much smoother at 50mph, doesn't have a muff. Also much less smell to exhaust since replacing fuel filter last weekend. Nephew put 2C gas mix in the truck, clogged the filter.......

Hey man, I wasn't meaning to be a jerk about the Windsor vs Cleveland thing, I argue with a friend about it atleast once a week so I have a temper about it.
If you've put most of those miles on it yourself, take the heads off and check the valve and then you have new head-gaskets. I'd go shorty headers and replace the manifolds because the shorties bolt-up the same.

That depends on how bad. Mine are cracked, but I don't think it's all the way through cuz it don't leak. Can you weld? Take the manifolds completely off the engine and exhaust when you check your valves and weld them. Grind a bevel along the crack, then weld using CAST-IRON RODS. They ain't cheap, but you wont regret it. i've seen cast welded with 7018's, but it wasn't very strong. Run the beads in HOT, you can even heat the area with a torch then weld to set the bead better.
