What are you using to mount your core support?

I pulled my front clip to swap 460, and I was gonna order the full body mount/hardware set from jbg but they are out of stock. I need to bolt the core support back to the frame for now. Both my bolts were rusted and one broke off inside the lower sleeve and the other I had to cut off and both of them are too destroyed to reuse. Big bolts, big washers, whats left of the rubber mounts between the core support and the frame?

I used some grade 8 bolts that I had. I fabricated an internal spacer from cheap garage sale deep well sockets.

I used a large washer and tube to re-make the lower, metal part of mine. The rubbers and uppers were salvagable but I just ordered a full poly set. If you want parts I can sell some stock stuff.

Here's pics of what I made

The absorbers (hockey pucks) used to mount the radiator support are the same as used to mount the cab.

2) D3TZ-1000155-B .. Absorber-Lower

2) D3TZ-1000396-C .. Absorber-Upper

1973/79 F100/350 / 1978/79 Bronco (radiator support only).

Can you remove the core support and leave the fenders attached to the cab? Will they support them selves if you did this?

LMC has them. I also have stock ones coming off my truck that are in good shape that I will part with for cheaper than LMC.

Kind of... Well, I'll make that "pretty much." They should be fine attached to the inner fenders and cab while you take the core support out.

yeah i left a truck sit with no core support and fenders still attached for like 6 months, no problems. As for the bed, I don't think the bed had absorbers? Neither of the 2 beds I've pulled had any rubber between the bed and the frame, just bolts.

Me too, I got them from my neighbor for free

Hockey pucks and 2 shims per side worked for me with grade 8 bolts.

There are rubber/cloth type flat square pads between the bed mounts and the frame on mine. The pads look almost like side wall tire material. Kind of. They are completely worn out. I checked LMC (heck of a lot of pages, lots of stuff) BUT could not find bed-to-frame absorbers. All the trucks I've seen at the wreckers where also pretty well worn out. If I've going to go though the trouble of replacing them,,, kind of like to have new ones.

'ChaseTruck', did you actually see the 'bed to frame' absorbers at LMC? Maybe you could tell me what page its on. OR, another place I could get them.
Any one else know
This is for may 65' F-100
Thanks, Fritz

For my bed I used some rubber belt from a large belt sander. It's about a 1/4" thick.

Where do you get the poly cab/radiator support bushings??
