muffler delete 7.3L

The "ITP Diesel" link's muffler delete pipes are all 4", and are available in various lengths and aluminized or stainless steel.
4" Single & Dual Muffler Delete Pipes
Stock exhaust is 3.5", so these will only work with after-market systems.

Just curious, but why did you bring stock versus aftermarket into the mix? Were you thinking the OP was wanting to add the muffler delete to a stock setup?
I ask because that't not something I'd thought about, and had assumed he already had an aftermarket setup, so good point!

Ah, ok. I can stop chastising myself then for assuming.
I had assumed the same thing, but when I read your post, I started thinking otherwise!
Maybe a local exhaust shop can make one for you?

The post prior to that was for adding the muffler-delete-pipe to an aftermarket 4" setup.
I think I've found one for the stock 3.5, but they don't have info/pix online.
Anyone know of one? Can';t seem to find it in stainless ...

Perhaps.
The one I found is made by "EXPANDIT" and is only 30" long, which is the same length as the muffler. It has the ends expanded to allow the ipe to insert in, but that won;t work because it will be too short once I cut the same length muffler out of the stock system.
I'll post whatever I find.
Would love some input form anyone who has done this to a stock system.
Oddly enough, a couple of diesel sites offer a muffler delete pipe from ExpandIt, but state that it won't fit Excursions for some reason.

Hey SC-Ex, I was very interested in a previous thread that you started about the stock muffler delete, when it was removed. I am trying to add a 3.5" Aero Turbine muffler to my stock exhaust and trying to figure out how to do it. The inlets and outlets are offset on the stock exhaust and are straight thru on the new muffler. The rear hanger is welded to the muffler, which will be removed, and the front hanger is on a section that will have to be turned to counter the offset of the rear section of pipe. I dont have a welder, so I cant weld on a new hanger, and I really dont want to go to an exhaust shop. I guess I can always use a coat hanger to hang it with!!

Stud,
Yes, Ex and F250/350 are different.
Never did do it. Think I'll go with 3.5" Stainless Flex instead anyway ...

I think it will. By my measurements, the stock exhaust is 3.5" OD, and if this stuff is 3.5" ID, it should slip over with a little persuasion.
BTW, we have ourselves a little South Carolina pow-wow here dont we?
