correct thermostat

Im going to change out the thermostat on my 05 ex 6.0 & was wondering
what temp would you guys use? thanks in advance!

I'm 99%sure it's a 195

What he said when i got mine they don't ask , they just give you the only one they have 195

Not sure if their the same but i have a 05 F350 and the part number is 3C3Z-8575-AA. That is for the stat and housing. Its also stamped with 89-104° C

Or search at the local parts house for a Motorcraft # RT-1169. Same thing but usually a little cheaper.

thanks for quick answers i thought maybe they had more than one. Im not getting up to temp, even with a bra(black!) over the radiator. The t-stat is $20.00 @ dealer with a discount

I swapped mine out this past Saturday. I had to take the air cleaner, battery, battery tray and cold air pipe off just to get a look at the thermostat. I then had to take a bracket off the top of thermostat housing, after taking the fuel line loose from the filter housing. None of it was very tough to do, it just took more time than I though it should. The wife actually came out to the garage to check on me. She was less than impressed.
