Hey guys,

Looking at a 96 f250 2wd 300 i6 with a c6 tranny. I was wondering if anybody has this combo and what you gas mileage is?

 

We have same truck with 5spd and it doesn't get anything spectacular for mileage. It's a company truck, so dont really have any definite MPG numbers.

 

I just got mine running and with a slight miss, ALL stop and go, I get 11.9mpg with the e40od trans

I've heard some get 17+

also heard the c trans takes 35 hp to spin it.

I have a very heavy 1990 crew cab 4x4 f350 c6 with a 351W with 4.10 gear ratio, i still get 10-11mpg. mileage will vary on these trucks depending of the rear end gear ratio. usually 10-17 mpg on ford trucks depending on vehicle weight, transmission engine, gear ratio.

 

Thanks for the info. I have a 94 f350 with the 351 and i get 8 towing and 13 empty. was thinking i would trade it if the i6 got better mileage. think I will just keep my truck.
