Wheel Bearing 2005 4 x 2 Front

I need to replace the front passenger side wheel bearing and I am unsure of the breakdown and would rather have the part in hand before I tear it down. Some places show an assembly and some show just the bearing. I was quoted $250 by a shop but if its fairly simple I'd rather do it myself. I changed the rotors and brakes a few years ago so I know how to tear it down, just don't know where to find the bearing and how to get it off. Remember this is a 4 x 2. If anyone has advice or a parts breakdown that would help alot, thanks!!

???? you can go to Autozone and buy a new rotor for about $80 with a new wheel bearing already in it,...

??

See when I installed the new rotors about a year or so ago I don't recall there being a bearing with them. That is why I am curious to see a parts breakdown. Thanks!

It is a sealed bearing, very simple job. If you had bought the rotors from Autozone, they would be giving you a new one for up to 2 years.

bearing

So pop the rotors off and the bearing should be right behind them? All the parts places show a sealed bearing, does it just pop off or will I need a puller? This is what Autozone shows Duralast/Wheel Bearing - Front (DL517014) | 2005 Ford F150 1/2 ton P/U 2WD 8 Cylinders W 4.6L EFI | AutoZone.com

Durlast Part #DL517014

Thanks!

the rotor and bearing on 2 wheel drive are a sealed unit you cant just change the bearing.need to by new rotor also the nut holding it on needs to be replaced one time use only around $25 at dealer and they need to be Torqued to 296 foot pounds. and you should change rotors in pairs as there 2 years old.or the breaking won't be even it will pull to one side

I got a 07 4x2. I bought the new sealed bearing at autozone and had to press the old one out and the new one in.

Still confused

John, how did you get the old one out and get the new one in? I am trying to have a plan before I tear it apart and all the places say different things!

xlt, all the local parts stores show a single bearing, not one in the rotor.

How is this bearing held on? I am just confused, thanks for any help!

Do you really understand, that even at Autozone, you are going to pay $60 for the cheaper front wheel bearing warrantied for 1 year, plus a $19 spindle nut that needs to be replaced every time you take off the rotor verses a new rotor with a new wheel bearing with a 2 year warranty for $85. and no messing with the bearing ???
