Nope, It's not that bad. Have you tested the relay? You might want to pick one of those up if yours is bad. If your relay is bad and you go swapping glow plugs, your gonna be mad when it still struggles to fire.

gLOW PLUG relay was the first thing I did...I can hear her clicking under the hood...I smoke white for a while when she starts so I figured gps...Plus its got 254K on the original Glow plugs...A fresh set of plugs to "eliminate" Gp issues next winter seems like a sure fire way to feel good about my truck LOL...Im pretty sure only 1 or two work based off the 1 or two cylinders taht i could hear firing when when I was not able to get it to fire on cold mornings....Ive already got all the parts to doo the job....Its ran the last two days so starter probably played a good part in the whole mess...but also march has warmer weather so that helps

I have the 8 motorcraft plugs, gasket/harness combo for valve covers...Any other parts or gaskets I need before I attempt it?

Sounds like you are getting things moving. Glow plugs and UVC harness and VC gasket is easy. I did mine in about 4 hours - but I was having some beers and watching a football game in the garage. Probably would take about 1 to 2 hrs if you go at it with no distractions. Holla if you need help.
