1976XLT, let me the first to apologize, "I'm sorry", but YOU asked for peoples opinions on your truck on a public forum.

If you did not get the response you wanted, sorry about that.

I tried to tell you want you obviously wanted to hear, and I also wanted to clarify what I think this forum is really for.

Sorry you got your feeling hurt, now man up about it and come on back into the fold, we are here to help its just a kinda tough love sometimes.

77&79 F250...

You have a LOT of Fords!!! Yahoo!

I'll have 2 someday.. when I find the perfect short bed 6cyl 4X4 stepside manual trans. Ranger or XLT...with AC! I know they exist, but they are a rare breed!

A 429 is not from the FE family...........

My truck is rare because it's the only 78' f150 sitting in my barn, it's the only 78 f150 that has paint missing and holes in the interior in the exact same spots. It's one of three ordered with the paint/trim codes offered in 78. What's the context? We all have old dentside trucks, nobody except a few of us nuts are going to be slobbering over them. It's not muscle car, nobody is going to pay muscle car prices for them, or call them rare. That's no reason not to take pride in your truck or anything, but the topic is moot.
i see restored 68-79 trucks go for up to 20,000 around here. not quite what old muscle brings but still pretty steep

well maybe its cause im in the country but 70-79 ford trucks are fairly common. most 2wd models are still in very good condition. Even 60-66 model are common in 2wd. I wanna find one in 4x4 thats a 60-66 and thats a lot harder.
