You oughta hear what the engineers call you guys who cannot figure out how to change a dang fuel filter.

 

i had to change one the other day on a 89 because it rotted out and started leaking.
it was the factory installed filter, and the truck has 372,000 miles on it.
i asked when it was last changed, and the my ex partner told me the last time i changed it.
i looked at the trucks maintenance file, and it never had a fuel filter put on it.

clean fuel, and a filter will last almost forever.

 

Best advice ever. I tried that simple tool to get my filter off of my 1993 f150. No luck. Then I saw the pictures by Subford and ripped that sonofab*tch out. Went to the auto store and bought new clips. Piece of cake.

 

Get rid of the front tank, I did on my Lightning, now it's easier than **** to change!


I know your pain though, the wife's '92 pickup has dual tanks It gets better with practice, but still sucks
