OK, so I have changed everything from the Sending Unit in the tank, fuel hoses and lines, fuel pump and fuel filter to the carb. I also sprayed carb cleaner while high idleing. There was a bunch of bad gas in the tank from when I bought it off the guy who had it sitting. I have since filled the tank with high - octane fuel twice to try and run it all out.
Engine runs great and starts fine until every so often it will stall and I can't get it restarted unless I take the air filter off and shove some gas down its throat.
What's causing this issue? Is it still the bad gas lingering, or do I need to get my carb tuned or something?

Thanks
With the air cleaner off and engine not running. Look down the throat of the carb holding the choke plate open and work the throttle. Do the accelerator pump discharge nozzles give two good solid streams of fuel?
I agree, carb could use a rebuild. Only thing really not touched. Simply spraying cleaner down the throat doesn't clean the internal parts. I suspect some dirt/gummy deposits causing the occasional problem. A can of Seafoam in the fuel tank "may" help, but I'd rebuild the carb. Not hard, just pay close attention to the small parts.
I would first do the open-throttle-by-hand thing OldStyle recommended. If it were mine, I would want to check fuel pressure & flow rate when the engine won't start, just to verify that stuff is OK. Just because it's new doesn't mean it's good.
Nevertheless, my primary focus would be on the carburetor, a sticking or clogged needle & seat valve in the toilet bowl tank could cause these symptoms.
