'55 f-100 seat belts

I bought and installed the belt brackets in the upper left and right cab corners behind the occupants heads. Now whats a good way to mount the brackets for the belt retract and the clip that comes up through the seat ? I figure some flat stock under the floor board to brace the area for the forces of a collision.
Thanks, Joe

Joe,
I had some 1/4 pieces laying around so I cut them in 4X4" squares and used them under the anchor point this may be an overkill but it worked for me.

look at pg. 15 in the mid-fifty catalog. They say federal safety standards require a 3" grade 8 heavy washer behind 18ga. sheet metal. I assume that's a 3 inch diameter heavy washer. Anyone have a better description of their kit?
