Well here she is my project which will be slow going for now. I bought her a few days ago for $1000, since then I have about $1400 in it for numerous repairs that have been made to get her road ready. I have put in a new battery w/new cables, alternator, solenoid, voltage regulator, removed cleaned and replaced the fuel tank, added 2 inline filters due to tank, rebuilt carb., bled the brake system, oil change(doing another tomorrow), and air filter. Putting a new antenna in tomorrow for the old 8 track radio that still works good and maybe replacing the speakers. Oh yeah and I washed off a couple of years worth of slime today.
Plus I already filled the bed with a bunch of scrap metal from my friends yard which is gonna buy me the oil change and the mystery oil.
Looks like you have the 4.9 I6 in there; same engine as mine if I'm not mistaken. That is a real clean looking ride; didn't see any body cancer at all. I do love my flareside, but sometimes I wish she was a 4X4 (for the few snow days we get here).

TY! Yep it's the 4.9. A great motor we have. She has a bit of cancer on the cab corners floor boards and on the outer rear corners of the bed.
Great looking truck MartyRay! I especially love that style of tailgate with painted on F-O-R-D spread out across it. I like your idea with the see-through fuel filters, I might put one in the same spot on my 4.9L and see what shows up in it.
Thanks, I wish it looked half as clean as yours does. Nice truck! Looks like you put a lot of work into keeping it that way. The filter is peace of mind and only $3.99 so its worth it if you ask me. Where are you at in NC im in winston
Lol yeah i did that because I wanted to make sure there was nothing getting into the carb. and I have changed the rear one and move the front one back and replace that with the new one. I plan on taking one off when the rear one is free of the rust flakes. I am thinking that it is about there.
