F250 spring ?'s
F & R springs are shot on my truck. I plan on doing the SD spring conversion on the rear and I picked up a set of low mileage 97" F350 springs for the front. Will I need add-a-leaf's for the front to make up the difference of the SD rears? Comments or suggestions welcomed. I need to clear 285's.

250 springs will give more height. Why don't you look at all the bushings real good before condemning the springs. I put all of the springs from my 250 on the 350 with new bushings and got them all rearched back to factory height. It now sits higher than it ever did. Rides like a darn steel wheeled tractor too when it's empty!
THis is an old pic. It's 4-6 inches higher now with the camper loaded.

I know all the bushings are shot. The fronts are missing the teflon pieces between the leafs and one side has noticable wear on the main leaf. The rears are done one has a broken leaf. The f350 springs i picked up are E3TZ-5310-R code which are 3486lb springs which were off a truck with a plow package.

I would think those would be the measurements with no weight. The pictures are just representative of a generic leaf spring. Arc per say isn't shown or documented. Just the measurements fore and aft of the center pin to the center of the bushing. Width and thickness of the spring pack. The spring designations (43-498 for example) probably would most likely contain that information. Darn good question though. Wish I could give a more informative answer. A new 43-498 spring pack for a D50 equipped truck is flat since the arc is negative.
