09 STX engine question

I’m looking at a 09 STX single cab 4x4 truck. It has the “2V EFI SOHC V8” listed on the dealer website. Another similar vehicle, an 09 STX extended cab 4x4 has a “4.6 3V EFI SOHC V8”.
I'm assuming the 2V is also a 4.6 and the lesser of the two and if so how much difference is there in the two.
The single cab is about five thousand less and has less miles. I'm curious about the engine and why the price difference. Both are STX's. The extended cab has few more options but no so much that I would think would be so much difference in price.
I’m looking to get a pop up camper in the future and I also haul around a small trailer occasionally and wanted some input on the 2V engine.
<O</OThanks for looking

It's more because the extended cab cost more new. I have had to drive regular cabs, so I would suggest going with the extended cab with the better motor.

Drive both trucks and see which you like best. The 2 valve engine and 4 speed combo will be considerably slower than the 3 valve 6 speed combo, even with the extra weight of the extended cab. The 3 valve is rated a little better mpg on the highway. I think you'll like the 3 valve better, but the 2 valve sounds sufficient for what you want to do with it.
