02 F250 XL-SD Frame changes ?

I have a 2002 F-250 XL Super-Duty, 5200lb front axle. It has a custom made snow plow mounting bracket. Does Ford still use the same frame dimensions up front, today, as it did it '02 ? Or, another way to ask,,,,how many years can I move up and still have the mount fit.

I don't know squat about plows, since I am in So Cal, but I will give you a bump on it.

And what little I do know, is that the '99 to '04 front ends are the same, meaning the bumper and grille. The front end was redesigned for '05 with coil springs. I know the frame width did not change, but clearances around the bumper, blocker, etc. I am not sure.

up to 2004..

after that 2005-07 they switched to coil spring front axle attachment so the odds of your older plow mount bolting on are suspect to say the least..

08+ is still coil sprung but the frame horns at the front are completly different and def. will not accept your plow mount.

hope that helps.

Also, the front frame of the 08-10 trucks had revised front frame rails to accommodate increased cooling.

Thanks guys,,,,, so,,,, let the plow go with truck, and get what ever year and new plow,, or just move up 2 years and keep plow,,,, ugh,,, 2 years is not much of a move. But I really don't want a big honkin' truck, just one with a larger cab to haul grandkids and stuff.

The '02 has about 80k for miles, and is a standard cab.

Agreed, and as for the plow, you can probably get a mount kit to move it over, so you don't lose the whole thing.
