'00-'07 Extended Cab Rear Seat in a '99?

I have a '99 ext. cab w/ the rear seat that folds flat. I know the rear seats in 2000 and up had solid back and the bottom flips up. I was wondering if the seat bottom is bigger in the 2000-2007, than the '99? Right now the seat is so small my kids don't even like sitting back there. Also how does the back attach to the back wall of the cab? Has anyone swapped a 2000+ seat into a '99?

WOW...same boat, ur in. I think i'll make the purchase to find out, or i'll make it fit. My daughter hates the seat, not only is the back portion to short, she's tall enough(6yrs old), that when i shift, and if it aint "clean", it'll make her bounce her head off the back window.

Yeah, from 00-on, they got rid of the plastic "headboard", and extended the back seat, up past the window some. I'm somewhat certain, it'll fit.

Same here, would love a better seat in back. I'm not a fan of crews, they look funny to me.

well, based on how hard it was to find a diesel with a supercab and short bed I think I am the minority and most people agree with you.

I would love to own a crew cab. I just couold not find one in good enough shape. Now that I have a SC I wish I had stuck it out a little longer.

I have a 2000 extented cab. The bench sticks out 15 inches. I'm not sure how the back attaches. I've never pulled it out.

I'm 90% sure it's not going to be an easy swap. They are very differently set up.

*climbs in the boat with the others*

I've been wanting to do the same thing myself... thing is, I don't think the later years used the Med Prairie Tan upholstery that mine has. I could be wrong... I'm pretty sure it can be made to fit because the cabs are the same.

wait'n on phonecall

dont seem to have access to "smileys"....

Anyway, on craigslist, company in Wlimington/los angeles, come up on PSD all the time, just so happened, there stripping down an x-cab 2000, woohoo, got ahold of them, and since my interior is blue, they say its hard to come by, BUT get alot of "calls" for it, so i said, lets work something out. If at all, i'll just re-upholster it(new one). Defintly be worth it, for the sake of my daughters' head, bouc'n off the window, that is until, i learn the rpms range to shift it.
