Lightbulb another spare tire carrier question.

I really would like to have a tailgate mounted carrier. I have one that goes in the rear inside. I was told that if you didn't have one installed from the factory then your tailgate/quarter panel would be too weak to support the setup.

Sorry for opening another thread but i didn't want to cut into the other fellows thread w/ my questions. Where is the best place to find a used assembly w/ all the hardware? I looked all over but all I find are new or slightly used ones for 200$. If anyone might have a line on one I would gladly take it off your hands if it's cheap and in ok shape. I would also be willing to trade also the internal spare mount. Thanks all.

Nate

another spare tire carrier question.

Where are you from. I am looking at getting rid of mine and was going to build an interior mount. I am in the N. KY, Cincy OH area. I have a 1990 with a full size spare.

another spare tire carrier question.

I live in Richmond , Va. I might need a handful of days to come up with some loot. but if you want to do a trade for the interior mount for the exterior one w./ all hardware regardless the shape. as long as it's solid and my body can hold it (i can paint it ) I have the origional spare that came w/ the truck you name a fair price taking in to account the internal rack, I'm game. The truck is in the shop for the next week and a half getting a new motor in it but after that lemme know. E-mail me at salbarley@comcast.net and maybey we can work something out.

Thanks for the reply.

Nate

p.s. I'm not trying to squeeze you or anything but i've seen used ones w/ hardware for between 25$-30$but it's up to you
I can't stress to you how much I'm dying to have one.

PPSS wouldn't need the spare tire, just the rack.
