Heater core is plugged, blend door is blocked so that no air is drawn over the heater core.

Welcome to FTE.

What year?

If both hoses are hot, the heater core isn't plugged. Yes, it's cold here, that's for sure.

I would check the actuator on the dash my guess would be when you move it to "hot" it is not "registering" therefore not sending air over the heater core.

got my heater fixed!!!!! Ain't correct but it works, apparently what ever controls the door to block airflow to the heater core broke and I kept seeing this coat hanger coming out of the glovebox, well I tried to pull it out the heater fan changed pitches. done a litte checking and found the air got warmer, the guy that owned this thing ought to have all his tools taken away!

OMG! He just rigged something up so that it worked for him and didn't fix it per the service manual with original equipment parts?!?!?!

Yeah, he should have his tools taken away, and so should alot of people if that's the standard.

That's too funny Hipockets! I know, it ain't when you're driving around in the cold, but what some people do to "fix" some problems with their vehicles is amazing! At least you now have heat!!!

Its so nice to have heat even though it has been sitting in the driveway, but I guess it will turn into my daily transportation when my super duty goes into the body shop the first of the year to put my drivers side mirror back on $1100 for ONE mirror I just about had a heart attack

1100, you could get a Bronco for that, and one with heat to boot.
