Need advice on Wheels and Tires for 2009 F250

Hello All,
I need advice on wheels and tires for my 2009 F250 XL, Oxford White color, 4x4, AT, V10 6.8L, long bed and chrome WTW side steps. It has the OEM 17" wheels and tires and I am wanting to upgrade to better wheels and tires.
Since the truck is Oxford White, would chrome or black wheels look better? The chrome WTW side steps are the only chrome items on the truck. The grill, mirrors and both bumpers are black.
I've thought about staying with 17" diameter wheels but want to go bigger tires without doing a suspention lift.
Also I don't want to lose too much cargo capacity or towing capability.
I have not added fender flares yet but that may be next after the wheels and tires.
All replys are appriciated.
Thanks

You should be able to run 35X12.5R17 "E" rated tires on 17X9 wheels without a leveling kit. There should be lots of options with this configuration. I like chrome wheels on any color truck but that's just me.

IMO, the black wheels will give a "tougher" look, especially with all the black accents that are already on the truck. I would black out the steps as well. I like the white letters in on black wheels. Google up some pictures...you'll get some great ideas! There are enough options out there to make the truck your own.

We've had great success with the Fuel Offroad line from MHT. Customers seem to really like the styles, and the build quality is superb. One advantage they have over the competition is a 125.22mm (4.93") center bore, matching factory specs, and making them one of the few hub-centric manufacturers left for our trucks.

The "Hostage" and "Octane" wheels are available in 17" diameters. The "Hostage" are available in flat black, black & machined, and chrome finishes. The "Octane" are available in black and chrome.

As Furian stated below, with the proper backspacing (5"-5.5") you should be able to run a 35x12.50R17 on 17x8.5" or 17"x9" wheels with minimal rubbing.

If you have any questions or we can be of any assistance, please don't hesitate to ask.

I have oxford white as well. I was thinking of changing my rims. After researching it if you stay with your stock rims and just go a couple of sizes up you will deal with alot less headaches.
If you do change rims but stay with 17's you maybe able to use the TPMS bands from you stock rims. If you break them trying to get them off there are about hundred bucks or so each. Thats for the bands only if you break the sensor thats extra. If you go with 18's etc... well you have to buy the correct TPMS.

Toyo M/T makes a size 285/75R17 which are 34 inch. They should fit on stock rims no problem with no rubbing. Your stock rims should be 17 x 7.5.

ACER is definitly right regarding HUB-CENTRIC vs LUG-CENTRIC. Our trucks come with HUB-CENTRIC which is the way they are suppose to be. Now alot of people get LUG-CENTRIC and have no problems, but factory is HUB-CENTRIC. You should stay away from anytype of spacers.

Look up this thread it has the toyo tire with black rims on an EXCURSION. The owner lifted his EX to the point where it is pretty much the same height as ours stock.

Tire Toyo MT 285-75r17 (34's) on 17 X 8

I have found a set of 2006 F-350 FX4 18" King Ranch OEM wheels for sale on Craigslist.
Will these fit my 2009 F-250 XL 4X4 truck?
Can I use my factory lug nuts on these wheels since the KR center caps cover the lugs?
Did 2006 models include TPMS?
If so, can they be programmed to my truck
Thanks to all replys.

I have found a set of 2005 F-350 18" King Ranch OEM wheels for sale on Craigslist. They are the 8 spoke chrome wheels with Arizona Beige paint on
the center part of each spoke. It includes the 4 center caps and all lug nuts.
Can the beige paint be painted over to black without looking like crap after a few months? If so, can I do that myself or get it done at a paint shop?
Thanks to all replys.
