I tested it...

you must have a regular cab.....before i put my 350 blocks on i carried 1200# of salt plus the sander which weighs 800# and my truck was bottoming out over the smallest bumps. Sitting it was about 1-2" above the stops. Since then with the 350 blocks and timbrens its been a smooth ride.

I would say that is a good guess. The lie o meter said between 14 and 16 MPG. Iv'e made the same ride numerous times with all kinds of different loads on, this being the largest and it only used a little more gas than usual. Still made it in one tank with about a quarter tank left when I got home, roughly 360 miles. No complaints on the acceleration, on ramps were a breeze, no problems merging at all.

No, it's people like you who refuse to tell the truth, and jump on whatever band wagon you think is the coolest at the moment. If you don't like what I post, don't read it. My post was very relevant since others say there's a problem with the springs, yet we have a mod who puts more than that in an F150, and says I was full of crap when I said my F150 had weak springs. Deal with it.

So, last week it snowed about an inch and a half here in NC. Of course the whole state flew into a tail spin which gave me an opportunity to test the new 6.2 F250 further. I ended up pulling two vehicles out of ditches on my ride home from work. The first being a small Honda civic, felt like there was nothing behind me, didn't even put it in 4wd, not even a challenge. The second was a 2500 Ram and this guy was BURIED in the ditch, completely sideways. Nowhere to hook-up so I strap his front swaybar and after about 10 feet of pulling it popped right out of the ditch like it was nothing. I am really starting to like this truck...

Surprisingly, stock tires so far. I'm not quite sick enough of them yet to drop that kind of coin. I'm thinking less wheel more tires anyway which bumps the price up. I have found it tough to find GOOD AT or MT tires in 18", or maybe I'm not looking hard enough. How much tire do you guys think I could stuff in there without rubbing anyway? 17"wheel and ?? tire, or stock 18" wheel and ?? tire. Thanks for reading.

I have 2500lbs of salt in back, at most, and a 9'2 boss vxt in front, 1000lbs+. Plowing I am down to 11 mpg. I barely squat in front. Back, well it is 2500 lbs afterall. No qualms with the power, love the 6.2L The E-locker doesn't do me any good since both wheels are always above the same condition - snow. Always have to have it in 4-wheel just to drive from gig to gig let alone plow. Even with all that weight, I am equall to a civic, other than ground clearance, until I engage 4-wheel. That's where I had hoped the e-locker would help. Not.

The snow test
About 10" of snow here in NC. This truck tracks like a dog sled! Very happy with the way it performs in the snow. Man does this sucker hummmmm with the hubs locked! Nothing to be concerned about, I know, but still the loudest 4x4 I've owned. I can definitely see the benefits to be had with a more aggressive tire though, you know, something that cleans itself out a bit better, wider tread spacing. Anyhow...snow test passed with flying colors.
