Difference between F350 and F250 SRW
I didn't notice until after I bought the 250, but the 350 sits higher in the rear than a 250 I assume because of stiffer springs. I prefer the way the 350 sits. Anyone know how much higher the rear of the SRW 350 sits than the 250? I would be interested in raising the rear of the 250 to look like the 350. Is the only difference between the SRW 350 and the 250 the stiffer rear springs?

For what it's worth, the "most bent one" is an overload spring and has nothing to do with axle wrap. It's a third stage to the spring, whereas the F250s don't have it unless they have the camper package.

Not to be a know it all or anything but just to keep the facts straight, the highest, most bent one, is the the overload spring...

did you end up doing this mod? The part I cant figure out is when you unbolt the axle, how do you keep everything lined up? Does the axle have some type of flange that sits only in one spot? I guess I'm worried about the alignment of the driveshaft and all that after I install the spacer. Somebody give me some tips on how to install.

What has worked for me in the past...
DOING one side at a time:
Is that I jack the truck up with a floor jack by the axle until I get about 6 or 8 inches under the tire. Then I support the frame with appropriate jack stands. I begin un-bolting the u-bolts and remove the nuts. Remove the u-bolts. Now begin lowing the floor jack slowly...until the F250 block can be removed. Lower another 2 inches so the F350 block will fit. Begin jacking up the axle until the F350 block is installed with some pressure. Now install the new longer F350 u-bolts with NEW nuts. Torque to specs.
Now...off to the other side...and repeat.
Really takes less than an hour...and really easy to do. Good luck!
