97 PSD Seat Swap

I have 97 f250 PSD extended cab and have been considering swapping my original front bench seat as well as the fold down in the back for a later model possibly 2004-07 lariat style leather seat.

Before I go scouring junk yards for these seats, has anyone made this conversion or have any idea if these seats would fit and/or line up with the original mounting configuration.

Any help appreciated!

I havent Done this Yet but I am working on doing it. Getting Seats out of one of the new Super Duties to Replace that Huge Room taking bench Seat. From others on here that Have done it I hear that it will work and you will have to Drill some additional Holes. I am sure some of the guys that have done it will step in here and Prob show you some Pics.

Good luck with finding those leather seats!
It seems like the diesel trucks at the junkyard have the parts sold off them before they are off the hook!
I got a nice set of leather buckets out of an Expedition.
I will have to do some fabbing, but a huge improvement over red vinyl bench in it now!

May be a dumb question but... Are there any difference in the Stroke vs Gasser seat patterns. I doubt it, but curious. have plenty of old gassers in the yard and am really ready to get rid of the Ol'Bench

Second page, post #22. He did a good job and used a pretty good idea, I think, to pull it off.

I put SD captains chairs in the front of mine. It required all new holes, and the passenger side seat frame had to be cut, tweaked, welded due to tunnel/floor differences between OBS and SD. Overall an easy job and well worth it from a comfort and posture standpoint.
