Which part of Texas were ya from dave? I've got family in Livingston, and friends near Abilene, and Fort Worth.

 

born in Irving pretty much grew up in the metro-mess till april 2007 I transfered up here to the great PNW, only been back once since. Arlington / FT Worth old stomping grounds. used to have family out in lubbock so know west texas... desert comparied to here....

don't mind, wireless telecom work for vzw network operations in the eugene market

 

How you feel about living in Eugene?........coming from Texas, it must be a culture shock?

 

not too bad, eugene is alright, don't plan on being here forever. other than the cheech-n-chong sloooow A** drivers and the left laners on I-5 with the cali plates. don't miss the almost 6.5 million souls that call DFW home and the 1+ hour commute either. though I miss the SUN and warmer climate not neccessarily the 100+ degree days in summer. hippies are cool I'm just not one of them! ;0

 

I avoid eugene at all costs, I live east of Springfield, up the river a little.
Going to "town" means Springfield to us.

 

I agree that is one town I can't stand is Eugene, well that and Portland. But I do indeed go to Portland on occasion for shopping and such.

 

well I leave "them" alone and they leave me alone.... don't question my way of life and i won't question yours is the general concensus I think around here or atleat mine that have jobs and pay the taxes for all these social programs that seem to attract.

 

Yep thats how I look at it to. I don't have a problem with any group as long as they are decent citizens, and leave me alone. You do your thing and I'll do mine is my general opinion.
