Once i get my 25 posts i wll put some pics up, and maybe even some for the right hand drive conversion.
I have just finished doing the conversion on a 57 Chevy using the American dash. The aussie dashs were all the same 55 thru 57, and much easier to convert so doing the 56 Effie will be easy.

cheers John
May not be as easy as you think. The 56 dashboard is structural, that is it is welded into the cab and cowl, not bolted in like a lot of dashboards. You will need to do a lot of cutting and rewelding. be sure to brace the cab like you would to chop the top or replace the floor so it doesn't change shape while doing the work.
You don't need 25 posts to include a picture in a post I don't believe.

Same deal with the 57 Chevy dash, its welded in too. I did exactly as you said, braced it first before removing from the car. In fact, i first made a jig up so the dash would retain its exact dimensions and refit the car as it did before surgery.
And it all went to plan, now thats a whole new thing for me. LOL John

That stainless trim you have goes in the windshield rubber on the outside, should be in 4 pieces plus 4 clips.

I was more concerned that the cowl and cab be braced before removing the dash.
