TTB adjustable alignment bushings

Hey guys. Just a quick question so that I don't mess up. I'm going to get adjustable bushings for my TTB since I'm lifting it to hopefully make it easier to align after I'm finished. The question here is.... How do I know which ones I should get? My local auto parts store has 2 different ones to choose from. One is 0 to +3.2* and the other is +- 3/4* to +- 2 3/4*. How do I know which one to get? I don't want to make assumptions and get one then figure out I got the wrong one. Thanks guys.

how much are you lifting it? personally i would just buy both and take it to the alignment shop, have them put in the right one, then return the other. they arent expensive.

Shoulda put that in the original post. LOL. 4" lift w/ extended radius arms. I'd like to put them in while I have the front end apart rebuilding the TTB, but if the alignment shop needs to do it then I can let them worry about it when that time comes.

as long as you have the correct drop brackets, you shouldnt need adjustable bushings. the adjustable bushings are mainly needed when you install coil spacers, or say 4" lift springs and 2.5" lift brackets....

I got the ones from Raybestos that do both caster and camber. They have the most adjustability. I got mine from RockAuto.com.

Here's what I did when my lift install was complete: I had my truck towed to the local Ford dealer for the alignment, because the tires were pointed in the wrong directions. Bad enough that I didn't want to drive it, since it was on the other side of town. They had the bushings in stock, and their alignment guy knew which ones to use. The bushings probably weren't any different than ones from any auto parts store, its just that I didn't want to guess, and Ford dealers have people who are not only trained professionally, but are the best in the business. I'm not an alignment specialist, but I've done a few for training purposes. The dealer techs I've worked with didn't just align the vehicle just to get it to drive straight, which is what alot of these jackleg auto shops do. They get it right by making sure the steering wheel is straight, the vehicle drives straight without pulling to either side, and tire wear is minimized.

My advice is to leave the guesswork for which bushings to use to the shop who does the alignment.

strokin, you are in Drippin' aren't you? If you want, you can come over to my shop, I've got an alignment tool for caster/camber and also one for toe. I do my own alignments, it's not that critical, you'd be suprised at some of the "jacklegs" the dealers have. They don't pay them squat and they wonder why they cannot get good techs anymore.
