i have a 2wd v-10 truck and it has 373 rear end in it now and its a pig!!!! my bud has a complete rear with 456 gears in it he wants to swap me and i was woundering if it would be ok? mine is 2wd his is 4x4 and i have 18" wheels now and want to go to 20" in the future so will 2wd with 456 gears be ok??? thanks

 

You'll be fine with 4.56...

With stock tires 4:56s would even be ok, just more rpm at cruising speed. I just would not go much over 35" or so (4:56s) with the tire diameter or you will be back close to where you started....

 

cool well ill try the 456 and if i dont like it ill do a 12v cummins swap!!!!!
