390 Rocker Arms

Can anybody give me recommendations for replacement rocker arms for my 390 build up? I need something that's not too expensive, but stronger than the stock rockers.

Thanks,
Mark

You'ld be amazed at how much stronger your stock rockers will be with just end stands added on. You can also upgrade to heavier rocker shafts, if you want. Take a look here . You can get a brand new, complete adjustable setup with all NEW parts for under $200 shipped.

And there are varying degrees of performance/upgrade on the assemblies, to boot.

He is right. The ends are the first to snap. I know this from experience. There is a point though where the shafts and stands need to be upgraded as they are pretty weak. I run hardened thick walled shafts and dove aluminum split stands. I don't run the end stands and have had no problems. For the most part the stock stuff and end stands are probably the cheapest and reliable way to go.
