Heater choices

Hey all, I have an old Magic Aire heating system in my 51..the box is rusted up a bit with some rust hole damage. The controls are all in tact as is the original boot... Since my truck is going to be 60 per cent stock and 40 percent dark side I think I will go with an after market heater...my question is will the cowl vent provide enuff fresh air when used? I saw a good 12 volt heater at summit that will meet my needs for defrost and heat with 2 take offs....thanx
