its a clean powerful truck man, just sell the tranny or what you can and do a 5spd swap. the autos dont handle any power unless you do it right and BTS it, but my 5spd is taking the abuse just fine!

Ahh man hang in there. Just when i was ready to give up and build my trans i found a donor truck. Ill be doing the swap in a few weeks and my Auto will be forsale. Im In new hampshire. I could meet you somewhere if interested. The Truck has 130k on it and the Whhen i bought the truck it shifted awesome, however the TC was making noise. So i yanked the tranny and threw the cheapest TC in i could find. It shifts weird now due to a 250$ TC my mstake. If i had spent 400-600 on a nice TC the tranny would be perfect. I will sell it but i dont advise using the Tc thats in it. pm me if intrested. We could work a deal, i need clutch money to complete this swap lol.

I'm on my third one. I pull very heavy and just can't see myself with a 5 speed doing it. I came within inches of buying a 99 dually one ton with a 5 speed. Number one, I didn't want to shift with a load from a dead stop on a hill and two, I didn't want to start with the mods all over again. This last rebuild they put in a triple disk TC and its been working fine now for over 30K. If I blow this one I'll be getting a BTS, Woods or a Racer X. I run Shaefers trans oil, the same as BTS recomends. You have a beautiful truck man, I wouldn't give up on it because of a trans!

well ive been thinking about geting a newer 7.3 dually with a 6 speed. but i dont wanna loose the obs style. im thinking selling mine and i should get a pretty penny as its a new mexico truck in pa and buying a crew cab f350 4x4 with a 5 speed and making it a dually 4x4. thanks to Midwest i know how to do it pretty easily. i want to build it from the ground up. and if i can find one with a blown motor im gunna destroke it to a 5.9 12v. ive pretty much ran out of mods on this girl so im bored. also i cant get it inspected here in PA due to the new inspection laws. tires cant be more than two sizes bigger than factory and i have to have heat shields on my slacks! biggest load of crap ive ever seen in my life!

It's always wierd when people have trucks like that for sale.

The truck is so nice, and the price is so good. So why is the person selling it?

never makes any sense to me.

Man, as nice as your truck is and with the mods you already have I'd spend the money on a good tranny from racer x or bts and be done with it. I love my auto, but that's me.

yeah i understand that, however im not a newbie to diesels any more and like to think i know what im looking at lol. im gunna look it over real good. i dont know if its just me or not but i like building trucks up. to be honest im just tired of this truck. was thinking of selling it before on ebay. still might end up doing that.

what do you think my trucks worth? ive seen people asking 10k for a stock 97 with 250xxx miles on it around here in the classifieds. not sure if there actually selling or not though
