checking pressure @ FPR

I'm about to re-oring my FPR and I'd like to shim it if need be while I'm at it. I've tried two different tire guages to check the pressure. One is a 250 psi heavy duty and the other is a 120 psi stick guage. Neither registered any pressure although the valve was peeing diesel everywhere. The truck runs well, could it be THAT low? I've heard a bunch of guys say that they used tire sticks. A little advice please...

I used a dial gauge, but I'm sure I've read others used a stick gauge. How low do those gauges you tried go?

I used a fuel guage from Harbor Freight Tools that has a fitting to screw on the schraeder valve. I could not get a tire guage to work. I tried and got soaked with fuel.

Screw it on when the truck is off. Make sure that it is fairly tight, or you will get wet with diesel. Ask how I know?

I believe to 0. They're both tire guages just one is a big dog.
