Anyone install cab lights on there Ex??

Just wondering if anyone has installed cab lights on their Ex? Was it easy to do, anyone have any write ups or pictures?

No but why would you want to create a potential roof leak and rust point and something to break and get smashed with tree limbs etc. It just gives you one more thing to maintain.

i would think its the same as adding them to a superduty. i did mine and i used motomans link and it went real smooth. i like the look and the added safety when driving/towing at night.

Anyone have a part number for the wire harness for the cab lights?

thereare two different ones. one for trucks with the overhead console and one for trucks without. try ed the parts guy. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...?siteid=214072

I too used Motoman's link. Install went smooth. Bought my lights off Ebay and they came with the harness. Good luck, John

I installed them on my X. I forgot who`s directions I used, but they had all the proper spots to drill. on the harness, there are 2 different ones as was mentioned, but there was a question with the application on an X. so I just went with the harness without the OH console and ziptied it to the existing OH harness. then I plugged it in to the connector at the RF lower kick panel. I bought everything I needed form Ford.

I wouldn`t worry about them getting broken on a branch. if you hit them on a branch then your stupid. and I`m sure anyone that offroads wouldn`t put them on their X to begin with. and properly installed they will not leak.
