When I bought the truck recently I knew the dash bracket was broken on the passenger side. The dash moved up and down somewhat and it was VERY noisy whenever I hit a bump. I finally fixed it yesterday and the truck is a lot quieter now. However it still makes some noise as if something is loose under the dash.

Behind the glove box is a small rectangular box that was loose. I tightened it but couldn't see anything else that might have been loose and making noise. I felt the dash and the glove box while going over some bumps and the glove box wasn't moving and I didn't feel any vibration from the dash. Is there anything else under the dash over there that could be loose? If so where would it be?

 

I found what was making the noise. The passenger side door panel is broken and it rattles when I hit a bump. I discovered it when I removed the trim pieces to take the headliner out of the truck. I closed the door and, voila, there was the noise. :-)
