TRUCK YOU! A Blue 1982 Ford F-150 Beauty
We would struggle to point out one bad year for an F-series rig, and this is simply to be expected. There really hasn’t been a so-called “bad” year for these amazing trucks, just different individual tastes.
Whether one is looking at an F1 or brand new Raptor, Ford trucks rule of the world. They are the king of kings, and we’re happy for it. Every year has been a feat in its own way, and we hope that Ford continues in this direction for endless years to come!
FTE member Kyle (A.K.A. “Keyul”) is the proud owner of a 1982 F-150. Though not yet complete to the degree that he hopes to have it, this blue beauty had already come a long way.
As mentioned above, this ride is still a work in progress. This F-150 4×4 short-bed has a 300 cubic inch inline six and now sports NP435 four speed transmission, which was dropped in to replace a blown SROD four speed transmission.
Kyle still needs to replace the pinion seal, change a U joint, and weld in some cab corners and floors. He also intends to put the interior back in and attempt to restore the bedsides. In addition, he plans to replace the wooden bed with a metal one.
It doesn’t take much more than common sense to appreciate a worthwhile Ford truck. There are too many good things to note about the fantastic rigs, so we’ll lease that to the members of FTE to decide.
Go drop by Kyle’s garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a good time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week!
