THROWBACK THURSDAY Take a Look Back at the Beginnings of Ford for #TBT

Let’s take a really long walk back in time for a little Throwback Thursday to the birth of Ford itself. Ford is the company that created the automotive world that we know today with the push for mass production with the Model T, so if there is any company that deserves a true historical look, it is this one. CNN put up a huge 11-piece photo gallery that looks at the past of Ford and the under-appreciated Model A.

The Model T gets all the credit in the minds of historians of the automobile, but it was the Model A that started Henry Ford on his path to world domination. From humble roots in a tiny factory just outside downtown Detroit up to the record-setting size of the River Rouge plant, the Model A propelled Ford into one of the world’s most powerful men.

There are some incredible historical photos, and some great insight into the events and changes happening at the time. If you have any interest in how Ford became the largest automotive maker in the world in the early 20^th century, this is a perfect place to start. #TBT
