Ford F-150 Halo Sandcat is the Master Chief’s Raptor
Right now, if Halo’s Master Chief wanted to get himself a new ride, he’d have a hard time finding a Ford vehicle to replace his Warthog. Seeing this obvious hole in the lineup, Ford Motor Company worked with the folks at Galpin Auto Sports to convert a 2015 F-150 into an almost Raptor-like off-road vehicle for the Master Chief.
The F-150 received a full United Nations Space Command livery, and it was designated M552. The F-150’s internal codename was P552. But this truck is more than just a livery.
The Halo Sandcat received the following upgrades over a standard F-150:
- Addictive Desert Designs’ Baja XTR off-road conversion kit, which includes…
- Custom FOX Racing shocks
- Deaver leaf springs
- Currie full floater rear axle
- ADD body pieces
- Fenders
- Side steps
- Chase rack
- 17″ wheels
- Integrated Xbox One gaming console
The F-150 Halo Sandcat will be on display during this year’s E3 at the entrance to the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center. If you can’t make it to E3, there will be other events that Ford will have the truck at during the ramp up to the launch of Halo 5: Guardians, on Xbox One, on October 27th.
