Mean. Vintage. Black. A 1978 Ford F-100
Wild paint jobs with flashy graphics, huge chrome wheels, and hundreds of hours of custom fabrication all have their place in the custom truck world. So do blueprinted and blown motors, high-wattage stereos, and pretty oak beds. There’s something for everyone.
A lot of folks don’t need all that stuff. They just want a simple and clean truck they won’t be afraid of driving. One that is nice enough to elicit upward pointing thumbs, and smiles from little kids and grown men alike.
A truck like this gorgeous 1978 Ford F-100. With a fresh black paint job and a refreshed interior, there’s nothing that’s going to blow your socks off here, but you will be very impressed. The only real deviations from stock are a set of Cragar wheels and a few engine modifications.
The modifications primarily took place in the original 302 ci V8, and include a Holley carb and aluminum intake. The engine breathes easier through a dual exhaust, and a few dress up bits make the engine bay a more attractive place. Power steering and brakes also make it easier to drive.
This 1978 Ford proves that you don’t always have to have a wild custom to elicit a positive response from folks. In fact, you might just get more attention with a ride like this, because simple never goes out of style!
