Early Demise

Most everyone that frequents YouTube is familiar with Whistlin' Diesel, a young man who's developed a reputation (and a rather large following) for destroying perfectly good trucks. Most of the time, these are newer vehicles, but most recently, this nice-looking 1979 Ford F-250 met an early demise, which quite honestly hurt us right in our very souls.

Strange Request

It all starts off innocently enough, though even Whistlin' admits the situation is strange when someone reaches out to him and asks him to destroy the truck. Turns out, there really isn't a good reason for it, they just said they bought it and don't want it. Most of us would just sell it to someone else, but we suppose this is a great way to advertise their company if nothing else.

And that's exactly what this demolition is for - not only views but also a way to advertise a business venture. We're not so sure if it'll work, as we're pretty sure no Ford fan we know will give them any business after watching this destruction take place, but these days, who knows?

Demolition Derby

After driving the truck through a fence and other various things, including a series of poles, the crew crashes the poor old pickup into a tree. Turns out, the owner of the land they were using wasn't aware the stunt was taking place but seemed OK with it regardless. Clearly, he isn't a Blue Oval fan.

Heavy Equipment

After all of this destruction and flipping the truck over for good measure, Whistlin' and his crew brought out the heavy construction equipment to finish the job. This includes using a forklift to open the door before crushing the pickup using a rather strong tree to hold it in place.

Angry Crowd

It's quite literally painful for us to watch this F-250 get crushed so unceremoniously, and we obviously weren't the only ones. Whistlin' admitted later that he's received a lot of threatening, angry messages, including death threats for his deed.

Worth Saving?

His response, well, is that the truck was completely rotted out and not quite the gem it looked like in the video. But that obviously isn't a valid excuse for completely destroying it. Many of us would have loved to fix this old truck up and kept it alive, but sadly, that just wasn't in the cards.
