Ultra Clean 1974 F-100 Owned by Few, Loved All the Same
It may not have four-wheel-drive or even V8 power, but we love this basic and beautiful 1974 Ford F-100 all the same.
Basic Beauty
While the big, lifted, four-wheel-drive Ford trucks generally get all the love, we also appreciate their more basic brethren. That includes trucks like this super clean 1974 Ford F-100 that we spotted over at Motorcar Studio. The two-wheel-drive pickup doesn't even pack a V8 under the hood, but that doesn't make us love it any less.

Ownership History
The F-100 remains in immaculate shape, but much of that can be credited to its owner's maintenance history. According to the seller, the old Ford remained in the care of its original owner in Alabama until 2014. Obviously, it was well taken care of over that long span of time.

Restore and Refurbish
After that, the truck was sold to an enthusiast who resides in Atlanta. The new owner reportedly spent a great deal of time and effort (and likely money) refurbishing a host of things on the F-100. That included a respray of the truck's original red hue, along with shiny new bumpers for the exterior.

Exterior Enhancements
The second owner also replaced the grille and headlight/taillight lenses while he was at it. The bed was given a professional spray-in liner, and new tires were wrapped around the original wheels. At this point, the old F-100 was looking mighty fine once again.

Modern Upgrades
The interior, on the other hand, was left in mostly original shape. Mostly because it was in excellent condition, to begin with. The seller did give it a few modern upgrades, including a Bluetooth Restrosound head unit and new speakers, which are always nice additions.

Blows Cold
The truck's vinyl seat upholstery is, however, surprisingly original. But why fix what isn't broken? Even better, this particular F-100 is said to have cold air conditioning, which is obviously a must when you tool around in Alabama or Atlanta.

Inline-Six Power
Lift the hood, and you'll probably be a little surprised to find that there isn't a V8 powering this F-100. Instead, it's packing a 240 cubic-inch inline-six-cylinder powerplant - not something you see every day. Regardless, it's got more than enough power for a little cruising around town, even if you won't necessarily be towing that big camper you just bought with it.

Full Refresh
This Ford does have a host of nice options otherwise, including power steering and power front disc brakes. The seller has also gone through all of that, along with the suspension. He even gave the engine a reseal and replaced all the hoses and belts along the way.

Simple is Beautiful
If you're into '70s Ford trucks, you can't help but be taken aback by this beauty. Even if it represents the bottom end of the spectrum in regards to options. But then again, sometimes simple is the best way to go. And we're certain that this truck's simplicity will be more than appreciated by its new future owner!
