Refreshed Ford Bronco Planned for 2024 Model Year
While the Bronco is just hitting the streets, a mid-cycle refresh is coming in a few years.
Moving Quickly
It may only seem like yesterday that the 2021 Ford Bronco launched after its reveal last summer. And that's fairly true, as the automaker has only delivered a little over 3,000 examples of the new sixth-gen model to date. However, things move quickly in the automotive world, and Ford is already looking ahead to a mid-cycle refresh for the reborn Bronco in the 2024 model year, according to a new report from Ford Authority.

Ahead of the Curve
Of course, a mid-cycle refresh never involves too much change, so it's not like a radically new Bronco will launch in 2024. More likely, the refresh will involve minor styling changes, tech updates, and perhaps tweaked or new powertrains. In today's world, these things change quickly, so automakers must stay ahead of the curve, and the competition.

In the Meantime
Of course, this doesn't mean that prospective Bronco buyers will want to hold out for the 2024 model. There are many reasons to go out and try and secure a Bronco in the forthcoming 2022 model year, which will hopefully be less plagued with production issues than the 2021 model year.

Coming Soon
The biggest, of course, is the arrival of the much-anticipated Bronco Raptor. The ultra-high-performance off-roader was recently teased by The Blue Oval, and will reportedly be packing Ford's 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6, 37-inch tires, wider bodywork, and a host of suspension mods that make it even more formidable off the pavement.

New Models, Colors
Recent leaks also indicate that a new model called the Everglades will launch in 2022, though no details regarding that model are currently available. What we do know for sure is that Ford will be rolling out two new exterior colors in 2022 - Eruption Green and Hot Pepper Red Metallic, which will replace the outgoing Antimatter Blue, Lightning Blue Metallic, and Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat.

Other Changes
Further tweaks to the 2022 Bronco include a standard soft top for the Wildtrak, the availability of the seven-speed manual transmission with the Sasquatch Package, a roof rack option for four-door Sasquatch Broncos, and a new front bumper option called "Capable."

Coming for the Crown
Ford figures to make at least a few minor changes to the Bronco with each passing model year, which is totally normal in the automotive world. These should also help keep the Bronco fresh for years to come, though it's obvious that Ford won't be resting on its laurels and letting the Jeep Wrangler continue to hold the crown for best-selling off-road SUV.
