NFL Player's Ford F-650 Looks Fit for Apocalypse
We imagine it's hard for offensive linemen to find vehicles they fit comfortably in, but clearly this Ford F-650 is up to the task.
Larger than Life
As you already know, football players tend to be rather large in size. This is especially true with offensive and defensive linemen, who are absolutely massive human beings built to win the battle in the trenches. So when former Green Bay Packers center Mike Flanagan was looking for a vehicle to tool around in, he obviously needed something that he could fit in. And we're guessing this insane F-650 we spotted at Barrett-Jackson accomplished that task with no trouble.

Movie Looks
When you're an NFL star and former Pro Bowler, you can't just drive some stock truck, however. Thus, Flanagan commissioned this wild build, which looks like nothing else on the road. Dubbed "Hyperion," the massive pickup features all-new, custom bodywork on the outside that makes it look like something that just starred in some futuristic sci-fi movie.

Reliable Drivetrain
The 2018 model Ford is powered by a stock 6.7-liter V8 engine, though it's traveled just 1,000 miles so far. With a 6-speed automatic transmission behind it, this combo is good for many, many more miles. Reportedly, Flanagan wanted to leave the drivetrain stock for reliability purposes, even if he didn't drive it very much.

Far From Stock
The rest of this F-650 is far from stock or even normal, of course. That includes the plush interior, which is awash in custom leather and Alcantara everywhere you look. It's obviously a comfy place to be, no matter if you're small in stature or a starting offensive lineman in the NFL.

Riding on Air
On the outside, this giant rig rides on a complete air suspension for comfort and practical purposes. Adjusting the ride height is nice when you're trying to clear large obstacles, but you can also compensate for heavy loads if you decided to haul them in this pristine pickup.

Intimidation Factor
The giant Ford also rides on custom wheels, and you'll find all sorts of unique styling touches all over the place. And thanks to its dark-as-night black paint job, the intimidation factor of this pickup is even higher. Not that it needed any help in that department.

Hefty Everything
Trucks simply don't get any bigger or badder than this fully custom F-650. So perhaps it's no surprise that the giant Ford also nabbed a pretty hefty price at auction - $181,500. But if it's good enough for a former NFL star, well, it should be good enough for us smaller folks, too.
