There are at least a couple of no-option F-150 Raptors out there in the world.

Finding a Unicorn

Technically speaking, it is possible to purchase a current-gen Ford F-150 Raptor for a little over $54k. But like most special-edition, limited-edition, or performance-focused vehicles, actually finding a bare-bones Raptor on a dealer lot isn't terribly easy. Most of the Raptors we've seen sport price tags far higher and are equipped with a variety of options, but it does appear that mid-$50k examples do in fact exist.

One Option

We know this because The Fast Lane Truck has had a couple of owners contact them recently to prove these unicorns do in fact exist. The latest is a 2019 SuperCab (SuperCrew adds nearly $3k to the cost) from a fellow named Corey, which has one single option - remote start - and an MSRP of $54,545.

Gem of a Find

If that isn't enough, Corey also said that the dealer he purchased the truck from took a couple thousand off the sticker price when he purchased it, which is funny because a lot of dealers are still marking these things up. In fact, he said that the sticker price was lower than his previous truck, a 2013 F-150 FX4 when he purchased it new.

Trouble Free

Since buying the Raptor, Corey has racked up 35k trouble-free miles and even gets 20 miles-per-gallon on the highway in the hills, and an even better 22.5 mpgs on flat land. And as a bonus, the SuperCabs are quicker than the SuperCrew thanks to their lower curb weight.

Better Deal?

Corey's story was a direct response to another cheap F-150 Raptor that another reader - CJ Herrera - sent in as well. His truck stickered at a slightly higher $57,785, and this particular truck is, amazingly enough, a SuperCrew. In this case, he managed to get the truck cheap thanks to some help from a relative, however.

Nationwide Search

Herrera contacted his cousin, a sales manager at a Ford dealership, and asked him to find an F-150 Raptor with a sticker price in the mid-$50k range. Two weeks later, he found one, and since it was during the pandemic when dealers were closed, he was able to purchase it with no markup attached.

Another Problem

We aren't surprised that there are at least a few no or low-option F-150 Raptors out there in the world, but it's still nice to know that they do exist. Unfortunately, now that the all-new 2021 model is on the way, we'll have to work even harder to find a cheaper one - especially since Ford dropped the SuperCab option for the third-gen pickup.
