Ford F-250 MegaRaptor Rolls on Seriously Huge Rubber

This massive rig looks like some sort of toy, but rest assured, it's actually one heck of a truck.

Tire-to-Truck Ratio

We've featured MegaRaptors of various types a few times in the past, but these giant custom creations never cease to capture our attention when we come across one on the web. This particular 2016 F-250 MegaRaptor most certainly did that when we saw it listed for sale on Bring a Trailer, especially given its insane tire-to-truck ratio, which is skewed just a tad in the former direction.

Total Conversion

The MegaRaptor conversion was completed by MegaRexx Trucks in Tucson, Arizona, before the F-250 was sold to its owner (and the seller) in 2017. The conversion starts on the outside, where MegaRexx replaces the Super Duty's stock fenders with flared fiberglass pieces, along with a new hood. This particular example was then repainted in a cool shade called Lead Foot Gray.

Abundance of Rubber

Additional exterior modifications include custom MegaRexx front and rear bumpers with LED lighting, AMP Research PowerStep XL automatic running boards, and the obvious MegaRexx 10-lug 20-inch three-piece MRAP wheels wrapped with 395/85 Michelin X tires at each corner. There's a spare mounted in the bed, as well as a four-inch lift to make room for all that rubber.

Utilitarian Cabin

The interior is nothing fancy but wholly adequate, with cloth seats and rubber floor mats providing a utilitarian cabin. The F-250 does have all the niceties we'd want in a pickup, however, including air conditioning, cruise control, SYNC, and power windows, mirrors, and locks.

Diesel Power

This particular truck is powered by Ford's mighty 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel, which sends copious amounts of torque to either the rear or all four wheels via a dual-range transfer case and six-speed automatic transmission. The truck currently has just 28k miles on the clock, so it's got plenty of life left in it, obviously.

Visual Attitude

The MegaRaptor modifications give the already-large Super Duty a truly menacing appearance and real road presence, which is perhaps why we like them so much. After all, if you're going to drive a big, diesel pickup, why not give it a little visual attitude as well?

Road Presence

That's precisely what this F-250 brings to the road, and it was actually a fair bargain for the new owner, who only had to dish out $53k to bring it home. That's a pretty big discount over what this truck cost new, and we imagine that they'll have fun intimidating everything else on the road in the coming years.
