Top Notch Build

1970s Ford trucks are arguably hotter than ever, and as a result, we've seen some insane prices attached to the nicest examples on the market. That certainly includes this gorgeous 1978 Ford F-250 that was recently up for sale at Classic Car Studio for the princely sum of $49,900, which seems like a lot of dough, but the truck has already sold.

Color of Money

The truck was a recent recipient of a frame-off restoration and looks brand new as a result. The details here are quite simply stunning, as is the paint and bodywork. And truthfully, who can possibly resist that gorgeous green hue that adorns its flanks? There's just something about a classic green Ford that can't be beaten, in our humble opinion.

Polished to Perfection

Even the engine bay is polished to perfection, yet the 400 cubic-inch V8 that resides there isn't totally stock. Rather, it's been modified by Jasper and comes with a two-year, 50k-mile warranty for a little peace of mind. It's mated to a C6 automatic transmission, which sends power to Dana 44 front and Dana 60 rear differentials.

Fresh and Simple

Step inside, and the green theme continues with a rather gorgeous cabin. All of the vinyl and carpeting in here has been replaced, and it's pretty much original save for a new radio. There's nothing fancy here like you'd find in newer trucks, just the basics - not that that's a bad thing.

Newly Rebuilt

In addition to the engine and transmission, all of the rest of the mechanicals on this particular F-250 have been gone through and either rebuilt or replaced. That includes the brakes and suspension, the latter of which has received a Rough Country four-inch lift and shocks.

Rolling Right

The classic pickup now rides on a set of 17-inch American Racing wheels, which are wrapped in 35-inch tires. And aside from the perfectly refinished body, the truck has also been treated to new seals, body bushings, glass, and a spray-in bed liner.

Worth the Cost?

Add it all together, and this 1978 F-250 is certainly one of the nicest we've come across in some time. It's clear that a lot of money and time went into making it perfect, though the new owner also didn't hesitate to pay the lofty price necessary to bring it home.
