Grand Event

This year marks just the second for the relatively-new O’Reilly Auto Parts Grand National Truck Show, but that particular event - which is limited to only trucks, SUVs, and vans - has already left a sizable impression on those that have attended thus far. This year's event didn't disappoint either, as it featured an array of fine Blue Oval machinery among 400 total vehicles on display - including this stunning 1956 Ford F-100, which was crowned as this year's "World's Most Beautiful Truck."

Paying Tribute

This incredible second-generation F-Series pickup was built by Classic Car Studio and is owned by Ed Ganzinotti, though the build itself started with some fabrication work completed by the previous owner, "Fat Jack" Robinson. Sadly, Robinson passed away back in 2020, though Classic Car Studio opted to finish his project as a way to pay tribute to the late legend in the custom truck world.

Perfect Paint

Classic Car Studios was careful to ensure that this F-100 features all of the subtle details that Robinson was known for, including its aggressive stance. The immaculately straightened body is covered by perfect black paint - work completed by Relic Restomods - and features a custom wood bed floor.

Matching Interior

Inside the cabin, one will find a matching all-black interior that's covered in Garrett Leather, along with a host of modern amenities such as a Vintage Air HVAC system, a Morel stereo system, and Dakota Digital gauges.

Unique Powerplant

Power for this 1956 Ford F-100 comes from a pretty cool place, too - in this case, a 540 cubic-inch monster Boss Nine V8 built by the folks at Jon Kaase, which is topped off with a Borla stack injection setup. It sends power back to a quick-change Winters rear end, too.

Heated Competition

To win the coveted prize of "World's Most Beautiful Truck," Ganzinotti had to beat out 10 other custom haulers, a group that included everything from early Fords to Chevy C-10s to a 1963 Volkswagen double cab and a 1966 Chevrolet C-60 ramp truck. In doing so, the owner took home a sizable $12,500 prize and a custom trophy.

Successful Sequel

Ultimately, this incredible F-100 capped off what was a highly successful weekend in just the second year for this event, which has quickly become a must-attend for truck lover in general. “The passion for custom trucks, vans and SUVs was evident at the inaugural show and this year’s show was even bigger and better,” said John Buck, owner of Rod Shows and producer of the Grand National Truck Show. “Our award winners are stellar examples of some of the finest vehicles in this segment and we had an incredible collection of trucks join us inside and outside throughout the weekend.”
