Aftermarket Fenders Right a Big Wrong With the Bronco Raptor

Viable Alternative

The Ford Bronco Raptor received quite a warm welcome upon its debut, and for good reason - it's a more powerful, more capable version of an already capable and incredibly popular SUV, after all. But there is one thing about the Bronco Raptor that some people don't like - its giant fender flares, which were added in lieu of wider fenders, as is the case with the F-150 Raptor. However, Advanced Fiberglass Concepts (ADV) just launched a viable solution for this "problem."

Sensible Expansion

ADV has been making wider fenders for the regular Bronco for some time now, giving owners the chance to ditch their plastic flares. Thus, it made perfect sense for them to extend its list of offerings to include the Bronco Raptor, and it has indeed made front fenders for the hi-po desert blaster available, while the existing Bronco rear fenders also fit this particular model.

Fiberglass Pieces

ADV's Bronco Raptor fenders are made from fiberglass and come finished in semi-gloss white, so you'll want to paint them, at least, and they make room for larger tires if one wishes to upgrade on the already large 37-inch rubber that comes with the Bronco Raptor.

Two Options

As far as sizing goes, customers can choose from two different options - either a 4.5-inch flare with a one-inch rise, or a 7.5-inch flare, which also features a one-inch rise. Either way, the fenders retail for $950 a pair, though the larger units won't be available until August, while the smaller ones are expected to ship in July.

DIY, Sort Of

ADV notes that the fenders are relatively easy to install, but also recommends professional installation for the best fit. While most of this process is pretty straightforward, it does require using a Sawzall or plasma cutter to "skin" the exterior fender from the inner shell, so some may want to leave that particular job to a professional.

Filling a Need

Regardless, judging by the renderings ADV provided, this is a nice look that we imagine at least a few Bronco Raptors will seek out, given the poor overall reception many have had for the factory plastic fenders. If nothing else, it's also just further proof that the aftermarket is always here to offer what customers want!
