Large and In Charge

There's a reason why so many folks lift classic trucks and put big tires underneath them - the results are quite stunning, with no other major modifications required. Just take this amazing 1967 Ford F-100, recently featured at Ford Daily, for example - it sits like a mini monster truck, yet looks absolutely incredible, even though it's otherwise fairly original.

Special Conversion

The owner of this amazing F-100, Justin, notes that his father built it back in 2008, starting out with a standard and stock '67 pickup. He had the vision to build a 3/4 ton 4x4 short bed truck that Ford didn't and started that process by shortening a long bed 3/4 ton frame to fit the short bed before converting everything else over to match.

Drivetrain

Justin's dad mixed and matched certain parts on this pickup to make it his own, including adding a 1969 front grille with 1968 marker reflectors. The giant rig rolls on massive 42-inch Super Swamper tires, and is powered by a 360 cubic-inch V8 with a C6 automatic gearbox behind it.

Passing Along Passion

Justin's dad built quite a few amazing Blue Oval trucks in his years on this planet before sadly passing away from cancer three years ago. Justin has since acquired four of those trucks, including this one, which he cherishes as family heirlooms.

Riding Along

"People have no idea the passion he had for these trucks," Justin said. "He was an electrician his whole life and built these in his free time in his garage at home. One of my dad's wishes was to have his ashes placed in the trucks after he passed. I honored his wish and he rides with me always."
