Interesting Imposter
While the body of this ’61 Ford F-100 might look fully restored to its original beauty, it is, in fact, not stock for this particular model year. For those with a less discerning eye, the lowered suspension and cobra on the fender might be obvious indicators that this truck is more dream than detail. But the truck’s wheels, hood, and raised cowl make this evident to savvy enthusiasts right off the bat.

Black Ops
The motor in this truck isn’t quite what you’d expect. This particular ’61 Ford F-100 is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 crate engine that’s capable of 315 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque.

Bullet Speed
When powering the 2007 Ford Mustang from which it came, the engine is capable of reaching 100 MPH in 12.6 seconds. Of course, the Ford F-100 from 1961 is considerably larger and heavier, so these numbers are slowed a bit. But that doesn’t make it any less ferocious, particularly on the open road.

Red Interior
Inside, the owner has retro-fitted a modern air conditioning system for cooler rides, along with a striking red dash and door panels to complement the black leather seats. Dolphin gauges complete the dash, which also features a tilt steering wheel and BBK Computer Stacksport.

All-World Cool
The truck’s Mustang engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, and power steering. This truck is proof that in the restomod world, you can have it all: classic styling, artistic color schemes, modern climate control, and monstrous power. This awesome ’61 Ford F-100 mutant was sold for $27,500 at auction. The new owner will surely look and feel great driving it.
